The worst day of my life.......

Was today 3yrs ago. Our son Jack Riley was stillborn today after 3 days of labour at 20.3wks gestation. There isnt much to say but that it was a long and heartbreaking process that went over 10wks before we had him. There were some pretty severe complications and by the time I had him it was starting to get complicated for me physically as well.

It almost feels like it was yesterday and then other times it seems so long ago. I still miss him dearly even though we knew him for such a short time. There is still that child that is missing from our lives that will forever be apart of our family.

I like being able to talk about Jack in general conversation and being able to refer to him easily. And I do regularly although others seem to have a problem with it more than I do. But today its harder to talk about it all. This explains some of my emotions in a way....

Oh my goodness. My heart is breaking for you. My sister gave birth to a stillborn little girl, my only niece, last October at 22 weeks. Please know that you and your family are in my prayers while you grieve for the loss of Jack. www.silentgrief.com is a wonderful place to turn when you just need to talk.

Anniversary days of these kinds of events are always the hardest. I had a son that died when he was 3 yrs old having been born with some serious birth defects. It does get easier with time even the special days, it has been 33 yrs ago for us. ((((hugs)))) and my thoughts go out to you because I truly understand.

((((HUGS)))) so sorry :( I have a friend who lost her son and every year she plants new bulbs in her garden in his memory. They come back every year and help make the world a more beautiful place, just like he would have! Find peace and take care.
